Accounting Manager

As a key member of the finance team responsible for overseeing and managing accounting and reporting activities. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of financial operations. The accounting manager will lead a team and work collaboratively with cross-functional departments to maintain and improve the company’s financial health.

 

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and company policies including monthly/quarterly reports required by the parent company. Ensure accuracy and transparency in financial reporting.
  • General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing activities.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, including overseeing accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Asset Management: Implement the asset management policy, ensuring accurate record-keeping, depreciation calculations, asset tagging, and optimizing asset utilization.
  • Audit Preparation: Coordinate and manage external and internal audits, including preparing audit schedules and liaising with auditors.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards, including tax laws and GAAP.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making and cost control measures.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with senior management to develop and manage budgets and forecasts, monitoring financial performance against targets.
  • Software and Systems: Utilize accounting software and systems effectively and ensure they are up-to-date and meet the company’s needs.

  • Capital Expenditure: Evaluate capital expenditure proposals, providing financial analysis and recommendations for capital investment decisions.

Other Responsibilities: Perform any other duties as required by management and remain responsive to changing  in organizational needs to achieve the company goals.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related Field (having a CPA or relevant certification is good to have)

Experience: 8-10 years in relevant field with 2-5 years of costing experience

Requirements: Proficiency in Accounting Software (Preferred: MS Dynamics, SAP) and MS Excel.

    Senior Accountant

    The Senior Accountant is a pivotal member of the accounting and reporting team responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance, and managing cost-related functions.

     

    • Cost Accounting: Manage cost accounting processes, including tracking, analyzing, and reporting on production costs, overhead expenses, and inventory valuation.
    • Accruals and Prepayments Control: Manage and reconcile accruals and prepayments accounts, ensuring accurate recording, control, and reconciliation of these accounts.
    • General Ledger Maintenance: Perform general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
    • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
    • Cost Control: Collaborate with the Accounting Manager to monitor and control costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities and recommending cost optimization strategies.
    • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
    • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis, assess variances, and provide recommendations to improve financial performance, with a specific focus on cost-related data.
    • Budget Assistance: Collaborate with the Accounting Operations Manager in the preparation and management of budgets and forecasts, with a focus on cost budgeting.
    • Audit Support: Assist in the coordination and preparation of internal and external audits, including gathering and organizing audit documentation related to cost accounting.
    • Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards, making recommendations for adjustments as necessary, particularly in cost-related matters.

      • Fixed Assets: Maintain fixed assets records, including tagging assets, tracking depreciation, and assisting with asset management.
      • Petty Cash Control: Manage and reconcile petty cash funds, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to company policies.
      • Inventory Management: Conduct physical counts of inventory items and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
      • Cost Accounting Support: Collaborate with senior team members on cost accounting tasks, including tracking and analyzing production costs, overhead expenses, and inventory valuation.
      • Account Reconciliation: Assist in the reconciliation of accounts, identifying and reporting discrepancies for resolution.
      • Assist with Financial Reporting: Support senior team members in preparing and reviewing financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
